Hearing aid batteries are similar to those used in watches and those small electronic games my grandchildren play with. You know, the ones that are small and round and look a bit like five cent pieces (if you’ve taken your specs off!). How Long Should My Battery Last?
The lifespan of your typical hearing aid battery will depend on a number of factors, such as:
- Size of the battery:
- Larger battery varieties tend to last longer compared to small batteries. Simply put, they can hold more go-go juice.
- Frequency of use:
- If you’re a heavy user and your hearing aid is always on, that will have an obvious effect on how much life you can realistically expect to squeeze out of your instrument.
The settings of the hearing aid may also affect how long your hearing aid batteries will serve you before running out of power. Make sure you apply all due diligence before deciding, your hearing aid manufacturer or doctor should be able to give you advice on the best hearing aid batteries.
